Day 1
Puffing Billy Steam Railway – Penguin Parade (Phillip Island)
At noon, starting from downtown Melbourne, our tour bus led you to the platform of the Puffing Billy. Hear the bell hum, the oldest steam train will take you through the forest of Mt. Dandenong. The Puffing Billy is one of Australia's oldest steam train. The original puffing Billy Railway was built in the early twentieth Century for the transportation of goods. At a total length of 29 km, it was officially changed in 1975 for sightseeing.
After half an hour of steam train experience, we will continue to Phillip Island, 128 km southeast of Melbourne. It is also known as the Penguin Island, which is the island of the world's smallest penguin species Little penguin (Eudyptula minor). Phillip Island is one of the most famous tourist attractions in Melbourne and even Australia. It attracts millions of domestic and foreign tourists every year to see these rare penguins to the shore. Along the way, you can enjoy the rural scenery of Melbourne, by stay away from the busy city, you can relax both physically and mentally.
In the evening we will enter the Penguin Parade, sitting in the viewing platform for the penguins homing ashore. Then you'll witness the magical moment of the penguins' return from the observation track and learn how they can recognize their way back to the nest. At the end of the trip, we'll return to Melbourne CBD and end this wonderful journey.

Additional Notes
Terms and Conditions:
1. All payments must be settled when sign up.
2. Tour bus might be 14, 21, 25, 48 or 75 seats bus, depending on the number of tourists. The driver might be the guide as well.
3. Child fare: travellers between 2-11 shall pay child fare, which is $10 less than the adult fare. Children under 2 years old and not occupying a seat are free of charge.
4. Surcharges for card payments include internal MasterCard, Visa or Bank cards are 2% and 3% for international credit cards; for American Express and Dinners Cards are 3.5%. The tour fee includes Liability Insurance and GST.
5. Tour fee does not include personal expenses, meals and tips; we would suggest an AUD 4.00 tip to the guide and driver per day per person.
6. This is a non-refundable tour. To cancel this tour 7 days prior to the tour depart or after depart are neither refundable nor changeable. Please arrive on time at the pick-up points.
7. We do not allow any food or drinks (except bottled water) on board.
8. Odyssey Travel takes no responsibility for any loss or damage to personal belongs or luggage or for any injury or loss of any type whilst on tour. Other conditions apply, please refer to our travel consultants. We highly recommend purchasing valid travel insurance before departure.
9. Odyssey Travel reserves rights of changing, cancelling any parts of or the whole tour, and also has rights to shorten or extend the tour.
10. Please arrive at the pick-up point 15 minutes before departure.
